Prefold Absorbency vs. Fitted Absorbency

I know this is like my 3rd post today but I have another question... how do prefolds compare to fitteds and pockets in terms of absorbency? Prefolds are just so much more economical so I would love to use them at home but I am wondering how absorbent they are. I would be buying GMD prefolds...

We have a lot of different kinds of diapers. I think that prefolds are the most absorbent diapers we have. I actually use prefolds to stuff pocket diapers for overnight.

our gmd prefolds are very absorbant. they were too bulky on dd at first and i didnt like them, but as she grew i realized i just got her the wrong size. if our more absorbant dipes are in the wash, she can sleep in her brown edge gmds and not leak (though shes soaked by am). honestly though, i dont have many fitteds to compare with!
