Hi all,
I've been trying to do a DIUI for a few months now, and we have to keep cancelling each time because things just aren't lining up. I used to chart back in 2007 and I found that I ovulated regularly and my cycles had a tendency to be about 30 days in length. Our problem was actually male factor, so we focused on that for the past year, ultimately trying IVF, and then deciding to do DI.
Anyway, IVF was in April, and my cycles since then have been 38, 39, and 42 days. We were going to first try DIUI in June, unmedicated. We finally found a 15mm follicle on CD24, but I was already surging, so I would've released an immature egg. The next cycle, we monitored up to day 19 but there was absolutely nothing - the tech even wondered if I was in there for a CD2 ultrasound. However, I'm charting, and I found that I ended up ovulating on CD27. This cycle, I went in on CD14 (Tuesday) and we found a 10mm follicle, but my lining is thin and my hormones don't match up. Yet today I find ewcm...
Here's what I'm wondering. I definitely AM ovulating, I'm just not really ovulating very well. I have confirmed ovulation in June due to u/s, in July due to temps and now I see indications that it's going to happen in the next few days of this cycle. If my follicle was 10mm on Tuesday, it's definitely going to be too small if I ovulate tomorrow or Saturday.
So... what is this called? What's the treatment for this? Some of this is speculation, of course, but is there a condition called premature ovulation? The only way I know that the follicles are too small, of course, is because I've had the u/s monitoring. My chart looks totally normal.
Naturally I'll bring this up with my doctor, but I'd like to see if my temps confirm ovulation first. Any thoughts?
