A Happy Ending!!

I'm back with a happy ending to tell about a dog who now is in her forever home!!

Rosa is a 6 year old Doberman/Rotty mix. She was adopted as a puppy from our shelter. At the age of four her owners decided to get a dachsund to join their family. Apparently, Rosa and the new dog did not get along and so instead of finding a new home for the dachsund...they decided to return Rosa to the shelter For the past two years, Rosa has slept on the concrete floors of our shelter because most people could not look past the breed. She truly is a mild mannered sweetheart who just wants attention. It probably also did not help her chances that she was not fond of cats, little kids or other dogs. This past week, a man who lives on a farm with a fenced in yard decided to take a chance. He was looking for a dog who would make a great couch companion. Tonite, will be Rosa's first night sleeping in a home and not on the cold floor. I hope and pray this goes well. She deserves to be happy and know that not every person is going to welcome her into their home.....only to be rejected again! Yay Rosa:::

I was expecting to see a scary dog when I looked at the pic. Shes so purty.
I dont get why after having her for 4 yrs the owners brought her back? that had been her home for so long. How sad.

I am so glad she gets a home now.:

These particular owners really frustrate me because not only did they return her after four years, but then they kept showing up at different fundraising activities that she was at and would make a point of getting her all excited.....only to walk the other way and leave her. The father used to mow the lawn for our shelter and we finally had to find a different volunteer to do it because it became too hard for her to see him all the time.

That's actually really sickening! Didn't he realize what pain he was causing?

I hope that darling is enjoying his new home!

That brought tears to my eyes. That poor pup. I'm so glad she has found a happy home.
