I've just been told I'm to make a fruit tray for my FIL's b-day this weekend, and need a good fruit dip recipe that's sweetened with honey or maple syrup or something similar. Anybody got one?

Hey there,

We make a fruit dip with sour cream. Add just enough dark brown sugar to make it tangy and sweet. (I am sure you could use maple syrup). Just before serving stir in toasted coconut. It is very easy and very good....everyone always raves about it. HTH

yogurt, maple syrup or honey, and a little pineapple or orange juice.

Whipped cream sweetened with maple syrup.

Whipped cream whipped quite stiff, with chilled yogurt or chilled fruit compote folded in. (Yummy!)

Chocolate, melted with some cream.

cream cheese or fromage frais or homemade yogurt cheese just mixed with honey and maybe a little cinnamon would be yummy.

or half cream cheese and half yogurt, or sour cream.

I used cream chese with honey and lime juice and zest. Then I fold in fresh whipped cream, it's wonderful.

I think vanilla yogurt by Stoneyfield Farms is very sweet and tastes quite nice with fruit.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up straining yogurt and mixing it with maple syrup and vanilla since I already had them in the kitchen...the kids really liked it, hopefully everyone else will too!
