Sabrina Lily is here! HBAC!

I had my baby girl on Tues night: I got my HBAC!!!

Short version: membrane stripped on Mon about 6pm, crampy right away. Woke up at 4:10AM with a nice, strong contraction. I tried to sleep but decided to get up at 5:40AM to eat a little something and when I did my water broke. That's never happened before. Went back to bed and called midwife at 7:30 when I noticed some light meconium in the fluid. MW got here about 9AM. My sis took ds and dd out. We did a lot of walking, I ate, etc. Labor was slow going and I was only 4-5cm at about 4pm. MW gave me some concoction to drink at 5PM and then whammo! LOL! Labor sped up so fast I could hardly keep up. I was standing and rocking the whole time. At about 7PM I grunted and declared I had to go potty while my MW followed me to the bathroom. I swore I just had to go, I could not believe that my body was ready. I ended up jumping into the pool and my body just went with it. It was intense, primal, I was soooo loud. It really took me by surprise. Shortly after that the birth assistant and 2nd midwife arrived and I just couldn't even acknowledge them. I was too busy. When dd crowned MW had me get out due to a concern about thick mec. Had one contrax in living room them moved to my bed and she was out with the next one at 8PM sharp.: It was incredible. I am so happy and in love with my baby girl

A peanut for 11 days past EDD 6#14oz and 21 inches. My smallest baby. She is beautiful.

DH thinks it was called "start up" or "speed up". I'll ask her tomorrow. Whatever it was it worked really well, LOL. I didn't believe her when she told me it looked like I was in transition. I also didn't believe her when I insisted the pushing urge was that I needed to go potty I'm so happy still: Although I did have a vbac with ds, it ended up being a medicated, vacuum assisted hospital vbac. This was just so different and everything I wanted. My only regrets are not keeping my glasses on, and not getting the birth on video.
