Prepping different diapers

I have a bunch of new diapers that I need to prep. I have some Goodmama's, Kissaluvs, Nubunz, and BGs.

This is a silly question, but can I just prep them all together? Do you have to worry about separating colors/prints?

I just prepped my prefolds and ended up washing and drying them 5 times. Do you have to do the same amount with the fitted/AIOs/pockets?

If your dipes have natural fibers (cotton, hemp, bamboo, etc.) you will want to wash them about 5 times, like you did the prefolds. That way you get the natural oils out, so they'll absorb better. The only colors you really need to worry about would be bright colored BGs. I've heard that the zinnia ones bleed color. Otherwise, you can wash them altogether. The ones without natural fibers don't need to be washed as much, but it doesn't really matter if they are.

ditto pp. just wanted to add that if the cotton is bleached or dyed, the natural oils have already been removed, so one wash is good for those.

Thanks for the responses. Good to know about the zinnia color. I would hate to ruin all my diapers on the first wash!!
