months of pink tipped penis?

My son is two and half and therefore seemingly perpetually fondling himself. That doesn't bother me so much as the fact that his penis has had a noticable pinkness on the end of the foreskin for the last few months. Is this just normal pinkness due to the constant attention he's giving it and the breaking up of adhesions or should I consult our family doc?

If there's no sign of infection, then I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it's been that way for months, it's probably more a symptom of him pulling on it a lot, is my guess.

My 2 year old has had the same thing and I'm not too worried about it considering how much he is constantly pulling at it, and that he is in underwear now that rub a bit compared to diapers that just kind of tucked it in there.

I noticed the same thing in ds and consider it normal. The foreskin is very vascular and because of that it can have a red/pink color especially if it is in certain position or gets a lot of attention from the owner

that's normal... my daughter's genitals get like this all the time too.

I notice a little more pink at the tip when my son's is, well, at attention. My guess is that I'm seeing a bit more of the inner foreskin when that happens, though I don't know for sure that's what it is.

If it's pale and there are no other signs of irritation, I'm wondering if that could be what you're seeing, especially if he's handling his penis a lot. I suppose it could be the beginning of the separation process too.
