Major cuteness!

Yesterday Hannah was playing by herself in the living room while I was doing who knows what. (Don't remember!) I looked over and noticed that she'd peed on the rug. I picked up a washcloth and walked over and started talking about the fact that she'd peed on the rug. I looked up and she was dragging a king size sheet over to wipe up the pee with! How cute is that?? That reminds me, I need to fold those sheets!

After you wash them, I hope!

Awwwwww!!! That is SERIOUSLY cute! I was going to post a thread about a cute potty moment today as well, but now I will wait.

Oh, post your story! I have like two seconds at a time to do anything right now, so I didn't say anything like "let's hear your cute stories, too" but I love cute EC stories!

Haha! YAY! Okay. I'll tell. :

We're on a major potty strike, so I've COMPLETELY changed how I potty her. If she doesn't want to sit on it, or gets off right away, I don't put her back on. I've put her on without taking off her diaper (it's a fun chair!). I've told her what it is (That's your potty!) without asking her to pee in it... Things like that.

So the other day she figured out the sign for "more", and now everything is "more". So today after her lunch, she crawled over to the potty and tapped it (which she doesn't do). Normally I would put her on it after a meal, but I was busy feeding my friends newborn and took advantage of my new EC approach. "Yep! That's your potty (potty sign)! That's where you go pee! Pee goes in the potty (potty sign)! Potty (potty sign)... good job" etc.

So she tapped it again, looked at her hands with great curiosity (flipped them front to back and back again, wiggled her fingers, etc), then made the sign for "more".

I don't THINK she was asking to use it (she's never done this), but the wheels were definitely turning.

hrsmom: so sweet! I don't know how old your LO is, but my DS used to like to "clean up" (we had a sign for it even) so I showed him where to get a towel to help. (He also liked to dump out his food and drinks, while looking me directly in the eye, then signing, "clean up" and going to get a towel, sigh).

sgmom: exciting! sounds like singing is really "clicking" for your LO.
