BOB revolution stroller advice??

So we live in the country and have a BOB revolution which our 9 month old used to like riding in. But recently I've noticed that unless the seat is fully reclined she seems to be forced into a slouch position : Being 9 months she has no use for the full recline position.
She's clearly not comfortable and I'm not comfortable with it. I'm bummed because I love the stroller otherwise especially as an option for days outside when she wants out of the Mei Tai.
I've read some reviews where other parents have commented the same, but no one seems to have found a remedy.
Anyone have experience with this and fixed it? I am not opposed to duct tape

I think I know what you mean. It's hard to get my 11 month old to be "fully seated" in our BOB - she seems to slip down into that slouchy position. This doesn't seem to bother her all that much, but I do try to scoot her up a bit after I first place her in the seat.

Some ideas: Perhaps try adjusting the straps so they are more snug and hold her more upright? I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I'm not sure how/if this is possible, since I've only adjusted the straps once, and they are not at all snug. You could also try adjusting the recline when it's in the fully upright position so it's slightly more reclined, but not fully reclined. BOB also makes a "Warm Fuzzy" insert (may be too toasty for summer/fall) that may provide a bit more grip to keep her from slipping down.

If all else fails, you could always try a piece of a non-slip mat under her bum

I don't have too much to offer, except that I have the same stroller, except the Duallie....
At 10 months my DS is very comfortable in it, but I know a few months ago he "slouched"a little after I transitioned him out of the infant seat attachment.

are you sure the top harness straps are snug enough to hold him tight and secure? Also, are you trying to sit her STRAIGHT up? maybe just recline her a "little", play with the straps in the back. When I noticed my little guy slouching I played with all the possible adjustments and found a decent fit. FWIW, 8-9 months was also when he started getting FIDGETY in a stroller, being he is barely in one (only for my daily running). If I am RUNNING/JOGGING, he is ok....but the minute I start to walk, he knows it - and starts fussing a bit!

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks ladies we've tried to play with the straps but she's just soooo anti-confinement right now that it's darn near impossible to get them tight because she literally tries to "hulk" bust out of it and gets herself all upset. Maybe it's just a phase and she'll be more comfy in a month or two!

DS was most comfortable in the Bob when he was a toddler.

Agreed. My babies haven't fit in it that well, but it works so well when they are older, even my 6y still can ride in our single, that it is worth the trade off.

I am searching for a new stroller and really like the BOB from what I have read here.http://www.allreviews.com/home/produ...90/?cat_id=396 Perhaps the slouching is just bothersome for some children?

I had started noticing this slouching with my one year old in the Bob, and he was getting increasing antsy in the seat. I contact the company to ask them if they had any solution and they pretty must just replied saying it is a hammock design, and that is the way it is. In thinking about it, it is probably a safer, more comfortable position while jogging. Since I am 7 months pregnant and have not jogged in months we only use the stroller for walking.

I have wrapped a strap around the back of the seat to prop it into a more upright position. He has a better view, looks more comfortable and now makes it through the entire walk.

This is the only stroller I have used, so I am not a stroller expert, but don't like that I had to modify a piece of equipment when I spent so much on it. I wish I had learned about this beforehand, but am not sure if there are any other options in this category. So we still may have wound up with the same thing.

We've had a BOB Duallie since my twins were 14 months old and I never noticed slouching. I always just put the shoulder harness under their arms fastening buckles at the lap only. This way they were always leaning forward, not slouching. Since about 20 months my DD has been very verbal about telling me when she is uncomfortable and has never mentioned that the stroller is bothersome.

I noticed that my baby was very slumped when she fell asleep in the stroller, her little head slouching far down. She is a big six month old.

I came across these little cushions that attach to the straps. I was skeptical when I saw them at the store but gave them a shot since they were only 6 bucks. They were a great purchase! They support my baby's neck and she looks much more comfortable - plus they are really cute!

I read about someone who had a similar problem and they put something firm (cut a three binder cover off) and inserted it in the pouch behind the seat. I haven't tried this but I may if it becomes an issue!
