How to prep previously loved diapers?

I have a large lot of used MEOS enroute to me as this is written. I just need to know how to strip/prep them so they are ready for my LO. All my other dipes in my stash were new so I just prepped according to manufacturer's instructions, but with used dipes I am lost. I want to make them as sterile as possible without damaging them or of course, compromising absorbency.

I just prepped a whole bunch of used fitted diapers this week. All I did was run them through 2 hot washes/dries with baking soda and vinegar. Between the hot water, the hot air and the vinegar, I'm comfortable with them. But I inspected each one when I unpacked them, looking for stains, smells, tears, etc. If I had found/smelled anything then it may have been different.

Also, all of mine are natural materials - I'm not familiar with MEOs - do they contain any synthetics?

I usually just do a cold wash with a squirt or two of Dawn dishsoap, then some hot washes until the suds are gone. A day in the sun always helps too!
