Need input on Delayed Schedule WWYD???

I posted this earler in the delayed subforum but thought I might get more responses here.

I already asked this on another board and the only response was someone putting a link to info about not vaxxing at all. Also no opinions wanted from Pro-vaxers Please! I know all the info on vax's so I just need help from those of you that have delayed.

My ds is almost 27 months, he had the 1st Hep B at birth then nothing till yesterday. He got the 1st Dtap yesterday. We are only wanting required vax's and are in Ohio so the required ones are Dtap, Polio, Hep B, MMR and Chicken Pox. We are wanting 2 months between shots. I was planning on doing

Dtap #2 Nov 2009
Dtap #3 Jan 2010
Hep B #2 March 2010
Hep B #3 May 2010
MMR July 2010 (after he turns 3 so maybe no need for booster ??? or should we wait till after 4???)
CP Sept 2010( same as above???)
IPV #1 Nov 2010
IPV #2 Jan 2011
IPV #3 March 2011
Dtap #4 July 2011(after ds turns 4 so no need for #5)
IPV #4 Sept 2011

So the dr thinks he should get a Hib before winter. I know with him being over 2 then only 1 Hib is enough. The dr said they have a combo vax of Dtap, Hib and Hep B. So if he got that then he could get 1 more Hep B and it would cut down on 1 shot if we got it and also she said they don't have Hib by itself only in the combo. So my question is would you get the combo just that one time (in Nov), then the next time would be Dtap by itself and then I would probably just wait till May for Hep B #3. Or would you just forget the Hib and not do a combo? I don't really like the idea of so many virus's at once but in reality it's 2 more than the Dtap. Also he did really well with the Dtap yesterday. Just said "OW" and had no fussiness, fever, etc.. no redness at the site and didn't fall asleep any during the day.
Thanks for any input!

I would NOT do the combo. The main reason that I choose to space out DS's vaxes is so that I can watch for any reaction and know exactly which vax caused it if there is one. If you do a combo and there is an adverse reaction, how are you to know which component caused it?

Also, are you completely sure about your states requirements? I am looking at a link w/ info for Ohio - http://www.odh.ohio.gov/ASSETS/B2096...3B/sch0910.pdf - and it looks like you can just get 3 polio doses if the 3rd is given after age 4 (it's the same way in my state - NC) so you can cut out that 4th dose by giving the 3rd one after age 4. Also, the site does say that you have to have 2 MMR... And it appears that Hib is actually currently not required for school attendance, just for preschool/childcare/headstart, so if you're not using those services I'd think you might be able to skip it altogether... Also, I don't plan on giving the Cpox vax, but if I *did* plan to do it, I would wait until the last possible minute to see if my child was naturally exposed first. I would prefer a lifetime of immunity from catching the disease over the vaccine, so if I did plan to do it I would wait until right before Kindergarten to see if he caught it first.

I knew Hib isn't required for school in Ohio. I also knew about the MMR booster but didn't know if it was required if the MMR was given after age 3 or 4. I had thought about holding off on CP till right before school too. So I changed it a little to this

Dtap #2 Nov 2009
Dtap #3 Jan 2010
Hep B #2 March 2010
Hep B #3 May 2010
MMR July 2010
IPV #1 Sept 2010
IPV #2 Nov 2010
IPV #3 July 2011(after ds turns 4 so no need for #4)
Dtap #4 Sept 2011(after ds turns 4 so no need for #5)
MMR booster Nov 2011
CP July 2012

I wish I could find someone that could split the MMR up but so far no luck. WE live in a very rural area with only a handful of independent drs. most are in big practices at the hossy/clinic.

I don't believe the split MMR is available anymore. Our former ped stocked it because she had a number of patients who wanted it, and our current ped would give it too, but the former couldn't get it in before we moved and the current says you can't get it at all now.

I was going to say I'd wait as long as possible on the MMR and the CP, but I see you're planning to do that. Your schedule looks good to me, about like what we do
