Question about breasts

I have been BFing for almost 9 months. For the first 7 months DS ate every 3-4 hours during the day and every 2-3 hours during the night. At 7 months he started sleeping through the night. At first I had to pump once or twice to get through the night, but now my body is used to DS not feeding throughout the night. My breasts seem to not be getting as full as they used to. Is this because DS is feeding less and/or because I am making less milk? Or is it because after you have been BFing for a while you don't get an full as you used to? I liked my breasts feeling full because it made me feel like DS was getting enough. Now when he feeds I wonder if there is anything in there because my breats seem empty compared to how they used to be. Thanks in advance for any help with this

This. In my experience, anyway. But don't worry! They still make plenty of milk! They just don't feel full anymore.

My idea is that they have less fat. If you notice, and you certainly will once you get past a year, your breasts have less fat in them. They become less full overall, and usually will not plump up again until a few months after you have weaned. So, it is my opinion that they feel less full because they have less fat, because as we know, they don't have less milk, in fact they usually have more milk.
