5 wks PP, EBF, AF??

Is this normal? My PP bleeding had pretty much stopped- just a bit of discharge- and about 2 days later what seems to be AF? I was hoping by EBF this wouldn't be something I had to think about for a long time.

Am I just super-fertile? Or is just more PP bleeding?
Has this happened to anyone else?

I had the exact same thing happen and it wasn't AF. I guess it's pretty common and I think it's referred to as the "sixth week bleed" or something like that. I would find links for you but Wyatt is attempting to type for me But I would HIGHLY doubt it's your period, although I did get mine back 5 months pp and thought that was pretty early!

This happened to me with DS. I started bleeding like I was having a period around 7 weeks pp. I am sure it was anovulatory - it lasted about a week and then I never got my period back before becoming pregnant with DD (14 months after having DS). I think its pretty common. Annoying, but common!

this exact same thing happened to me! thank you for posting your question- now i feel better knowing it's pretty normal. i had what i thought was a period at about 6 weeks, but then nothing again until a few weeks ago- right when my dd turned 11 months. unfortunately, i think this time it's back for good...

This happened to me with #2. She slept really well, and I imagine it was the length of time between nursing sessions at night that brought AF back.

You might be one of the few that get their fertility back despite EBF on demand. I've gotten AF back at around 6-8 weeks every time.
