Supply issues nursing 18 month old

Hi all,

DD is 18 months old and we're still nursing. However, my supply seems to have diminished significantly, and even though she only nurses 2-3 times per day, it is getting painful because I don't have much milk in there and she still likes to suck. I want to have more milk there for her, for as long as she wants it, but I don't know what to do! I have been using More Milk Plus (Motherlove) supplement this week and the bottle is almost gone. I don't think it had too much effect on my supply, unfortunately. What else can I do?

Thanks

I've used, with success, fenugreek capsules (large doses), alfalfa/red raspberry/nettle teas, and pumping on the sidelines. Drink plenty of fluids, avoid sage, and eat oatmeal if you can. (My babe is gluten intolerant, so no oatmeal for me.) And think milky thoughts.

First make sure you are taking care of yourself - eating, drinking, sleeping. Are you pregnant? You could add oatmeal to your diet to see if that would help too.
