anyone in/near Reading?

Thread Starter
Hi there,

I am moving to Reading in a couple of weeks to continue my studies, dragging DP and DD1 and DD2 along. Does anyone have any advice on where to live, what there is to do there with small children (they are 3 and 10 months)? If there are baby groups, play groups, etc. I'd love to get involved. DP will be the primary caregiver while I'm studying, so we'd also be very keen to meet any other stay-at-home dads in the area.

Thanks!

We are about 40 minutes from Reading and used to go there quite a lot, much less since we have given up shopping as a leisure activity though!

There are a lot of babywearers in Reading. Have a look at Slingmeet and introduce yourself. They have monthly walks which would be a good place to start chatting!

Also look at the Reading Council website which is bound to have lots of info including local libraries which is where you wil find posters for all kinds of activities.

I think there might have been a thread about Reading here a few months ago so have a look and see if you can find it.
