Really frustrated!!! Dull scissors

Thread Starter
I have a pair of Gingher scissors. They were getting dull and I really had no idea where to take them to get sharpened. I asked at JoAnn's if they had anything and was directed to this product. It seems to have made my scissors even duller : I am pretty sure I am using it correctly, but the bottom blade of my scissors has absolutely no sharpness to it at all. I just had a heck of a time cutting out pieces for a dress from double layered quilter's flannel.

Anyone have luck with this product? Am I just an idiot and using it wrong? Or do I just need to find someplace to take my scissors?

Thanks!

Beth

I would look for a local knife sharpener (they do it for restaurants weekly) and get them really sharpened - I'm too scared to use any of the at-home products.

I use a local place and it's great. They're quick and cheap. I think like $4/pair. It's so nice to have a sharp pair of shears to work with.

Most shoe repair places also sharpen scissors and knives.

The warrenty information that came with my Ginghers says to send the scissors back to them for sharpening. http://www.gingher.com/pages/repair-and-maintenance/4/
