The "Pandemic Response Bill" would also force health providers to vaccinate people, authorize forcible entry into private homes, and impose fines or prison sentences on anyone not complying with isolation or quarantine orders.

PS: This bill was already passed!! It's just waiting for approval .. terrifying

YUCK - that's enough to make me want to have a swine flu party! Anyone know if you can get tested to find out if you've already had swine flu? Would you then be immune, or can you get it over and over again?

I live in mass and hadn't heard that it was already passed. My dad and I were talking about this and the scary thing is that all it takes is some calling and reporting that they think you may be sick. the police can come and enter with out a warrant.

But that violates our constitution, which is a federal matter. Doesn't federal outweigh state?

I don't understand all this. Mass has always been a very progressive state. DP and I have considered moving there on several occasions, assuming we can afford it. What is behind all of this? Who is behind all of this?

Something needs to be done about this. Theoretically, all you need to do is piss of the wrong person and they will call whomever saying you've been experiencing flu-like symptoms and refuse to do anything about it. How horrifying is that?

I read this bill last night, and was stunned.It is beyond scary, and beyond maddening! Reading the details of this bill,I wondered WHO in the (you know what!) would actually PASS such a thing? Am I still in the U.S.A.? I checked the activism forum, and saw nothing there-but this needs huge acts of protest. Like so many backward laws,if this does get passed, it could have the domino effect around the country. The only thing that kept me from freaking out while reading about it, was thinking to myself how extremely difficult it would be to logistically carry out, don't you think? Still.. I would rather go to jail-and stay in isolation for however long- before I'd let the government jab me or my dc!
