I wasn't sure where to post this, but I wanted to share our accomplishment.

My youngest daughter just turned 3 years old. She has not had much interest in using the toilet and didn't seem to understand what was expected of her for the past couple years that I've tried to show her it's purpose.

This is really different than how Abigail was. She was most interested in using the toilet, and only had issues when it came to pooping on it (whole other long story).

Well, Saturday I finally decided I was just going to put panties on her (again) and give it another shot. The last time I just put panties on her she peed everywhere all the time and I was not happy. Well, Saturday, I put the panties on her and told her, you're wearing panties now, so if you need to go potty, you need to use the toilet. Well, amazingly, all of a sudden, she just got it. She used the toilet several times that day. There was the one time she climbed on the dining table, squatted and peed on it, but other than that, no accidents. I found out I have to let her go to the bathroom alone, or else she doesn't go, just talks and talks and talks with her captive audience. So when she says, Mommy, I need to go potty, I reply with, okay, go use the toilet, she says okay and runs to the bathroom. Yesterday we went away for the day, so I didn't bother, I just put her in a diaper. As soon as she got up this morning, I put her in panties and she's been using the toilet all day. Well, today, Sophia came running out one time after using the toilet and exclaimed, 'Mommy, there's something happening in the toilet! come see!!' So I went, and sure enough, she'd pooped in the toilet. I'm so pleased. :This pooping thing with Sophia is so much easier and more pleasant than the poop painting, pooping in hand stage Abigail went through for a couple months.
