I have heard that you can get "temporary" allergies when pg, or perhaps some things that you are sensitive to but don't know it show up much stronger when pg.

It sounds like a reaction to food. My daughter would get that when eating mayo.

I have also head of people getting an "allergy" to cold when pg. (Though, I also heard cold sensitivity can be a hypothyroid issue.)

That would be my guess.

Perhaps you can see an allergist and have them check out some things to see if you are sensitive to or allergic to things.

It could be dairy (pizza, mashed potatoes)?

I am a gardener, and work with a few plants that can cause contact dermatitis. I've never had a problem with it before, maybe a little spot or two, but this pregnancy two different times I had a strong reaction -- I think to the same kind of plant both times. I, too, have heard that changes during pregnancy can lead to stronger sensitivities.

I got a lip rash with my 1st when I ate wheat. Interestingly enough, it was #2 who was actually allergic to wheat, not #1.

I'd just keep logging until you figure it out. Were they homemade mashed potatoes? If not, could it be MSG?
