Why does DD spit up in sling?

Title pretty much says it. Any time I wear DD (6.5 mos.), she spits up. Anywhere from a dribble to full-on vomitting. Doesn't matter whether she's in a cradle, FF, or hip carry. She doesn't really spit up any other time, and doesn't seem to mind spitting up. And she seems to really prefer riding in the sling to riding in a stroller or shopping cart. What's going on with her? Is she just getting excited?

I thought this was just me! My dd always spit up in the sling, although she doesn't in the ergo or mei tai. I always thought it was because her legs we pushed against her tummy (Like in the kangaroo hold).

Maybe the carrying/bouncing motion helps any air that is trapped in there escape... leading to the spit up.

Babywearing is a common "cure" for babies with colic because of this reason, so it makes sense that it would work that way.

I guess that does make sense!
