A "please let my ms get published" ceremony

This may be a bit of an odd question, but here it goes: I have a friend who is an intuitive counselor, and I asked her to read my poetry manuscript. She said she thinks the reason it isn't getting published is because something in me is holding it back: I don't know what I want out of its being published.

She suggested that when I go back to CA (where most of my poems take place and were written) I should create a ceremony where I put my intention into the manuscript.

I'm not good with creating ceremonies. Any thoughts? I'm working on figuring out my intention, and I leave for CA next week.

Read poems or portions of poems in the places that are meaningful to them. (e.g. where you wrote them)

Or simply say good bye to them. "you are a part of me, but you do not need to stay with me, be released to your own existences."

That kind of thing?

Yeah, that's the idea. I think I need to burn something, but I'm not sure what to burn. I don't want to burn the manuscript! Maybe I'll write down my intentions and burn them-- or maybe it would be better to write down my fears and burn them.
