I have no idea what a diaper doubler is!

Hello! I just ordered some bumgenius 3.0s. This will be my first cloth diapering experience. Each pocket came with an insert and a diaper doubler.

I have nooooo idea what the diaper doubler is. I understand the insert goes in the pocket. Does the diaper doubler go in the pocket too? On its own or with the insert? Is it kind of like a "night time boost" for extra absorbency? Or do you use it on its own?

I know, it's probably a very dumb question ... but I really have no idea!

With pocket diapers, a doubler is a second insert. It goes in the pocket. In the case of the BG 3.0s, the "doubler" is smaller, suitable for use by itself with the diapers at the smallest snap setting for newborns and tiny infants. With a bigger baby, you can use either the regular insert alone, or both inserts together. It increases absorbency for night time or heavy wetters.

It's just a second insert if you need it. The doubler is usually smaller than the insert. We use them at nighttime.

Probably another silly question but what are the snaps on the larger insert for? Are you supposed to snap it down so there is a doubled over section? Mine has three snaps on it.
Thanks!

You snap it down to make it shorter to go with the snapped down pocket.
