Cravings you have had before? - Page 2

So far I'm into breads this pregnancy. I want bagels, cereals, sandwiches, etc.

With my first I was all about cheese and apple juice.

With my second... I don't remember anything that time around! Hmm....

I dont remember what I craved my first and second pregnancy but my third I wanted Wendy's southwest taco salad with the ancho-ranch dressing and my last pregnancy I wanted Simply Limeaid juice. I also wanted tons of protein- steaks, ground beef stuff, any thing with protein. This one don't know yet.

How fun to read the replies!!!

With my first, watermelon and lemons.

My second, broccoli and strawberries.

My third, candy, candy, and more candy. And then more candy.

No cravings yet, but I am sure they will come along...

My entire first trimester last time, I couldn't even THINK of food. Once I got past that, I wanted Wendy's and Chinese food. I also wanted bologna sandwiches non-stop. I'd go out, buy some, make a sandwich, take one bite, and promptly throw it away because I remembered that I hate bologna. That lesson never stuck long, because I'd be craving it again a week later.

So far, nothing big, though McDonald's McSkillet Burritos have been sounding appetizing every morning around breakfast time. I have nice healthy cravings, obviously.

With my first, I craved instant mashed potatoes for a while. Had to be instant. I don't ever eat instant. In fact the only time I ever had I think was at the cafeteria where I went to college years before. I fought that craving for a while but finally broke down and bought a box. I think I ate the whole box in a couple of days. But it cured me.

With ds, I wanted a chili cheese dog. I would gag at the thought or smell of anything whole grain in the first tri of both my kids but a greasy chili cheese dog from Sonic made my mouth water. I fought that craving too, but finally gave in and had a couple. I also pretty much lived on watermelon the last tri. He was born in August. It was so hot!

So far this time I don't have any cravings or aversions. Morning sickness hasn't set in yet. Unless you count the craving for salt. I was making rice and went to add a Rapunzel bouillon cube. It was kind of soft from the humidity and a little stuck to my finger so I licked it off. Um... I licked the wrapper clean too. I maybe could have licked the whole cube gone. It tasted soooo good.

Oh I forgot to add I also craved beer and frozen margaritas with both my kids. Course I couldn't indulge. Funny thing is I didn't like beer before. Couldn't see how anyone could drink the stuff. But I'd be sitting in a restaurant and see a frosty mug pass by on a platter and get all drooly over it. After having ds, I've since acquired a taste for beer.

This pregnancy so far I don't have much in the way of distinct cravings, although red meat does just perpetually sound really, really good.

With my first son it was strange things...bbq (which I normally hated but suddenly loved once pregnant), raw lemons (very strange, I know), ice cubes...(just crunching them down sounded so good!)...and then just generally red meat whenever I could get my hands on it.

Last pregnancy was a crap food round. I wanted all kinds of junk...grilled cheese sandwiches with squishy white bread and American, sugar sugar sugar, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
