White mugs or tin cups, where to find them?

I want to phase out my plastic cups and replace them with white coffee mugs but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for at a good price.

I want to use these mugs instead of glasses and cups--everyone can drink everything from them, water, juice, coffee, tea, milk, wine, etc. The idea is that instead of a dizzying assortment of drinking implements I just have 24 or so of of these.

Amy suggestions of where to find something suitable?

Alternately I'd like to find some funky tin cups...

TIA

thrift stores! I, too, like to buy only white or cream dishes and most come from thrift stores.

As an aside on tin cups, I bought several enamelled tin cups a few years ago and they have all chipped and started to rust. Were I to buy new cups, I would go for the stainless steel camp mugs, rather than enamelled tin.

I like the other suggestions but also try Daiso (Japanese dollar-fifty store) or a similar ethnic grocery/housewares for inexpensive options.

We don't own wine glasses but we usually serve wine (very rarely served to begin with!) in small, plain juice glasses (from IKEA). I've seen this done in Europe and it works for me--no fragile stemware to care for! Drinking wine out of a mug would be OK, but you lose one of the enjoyable aspects of wine drinking, which is seeing the color of the wine in the glass.

Once a year or so, I sort through our glasses cupboard and toss all the plastic mugs we've accumulated in the past year--from sporting events, birthday parties, etc. We have more mugs that have been given to us free than ones we have purchased! I need to streamline our glasses too--it's getting crowded in there!

I just bought 8 white mugs from a yard sale this morning for $3. They are Crate and Barrel and pretty cool. I also have some from a dollar store I like. I only do white mugs!

I love my classic Crate & Barrel white mugs. They were a few dollars each, but I bought full sets of dishes and that lowered the per-item price. I have the Aspen dinnerware.

IKEA if you need new ones, thrift stores if not. Although I have some fun "seasonal" or "special" plates/mugs for the most part we use white/cream plates and mugs from the thrift store. Often you can buy an entire set (dinner plates, salad plates, mugs and saucers, etc) for about 25 cents a piece... people declutter their buffets/china cabinets and there they are! I never mind if the girls drop/break something since a near perfect match is easy to get.
