i know it's a stretch!!!! open-minded in the l.a. medical industry means you approve of extended breastfeeding, APing, and are perhaps lenient about vaccinations. UC is a bit TOO open.
but i just discovered that, unlike up in San Francisco where you just need to bring the baby to the registrar's office with the proof of pregnancy, ID, etc., here in L.A. you HAVE to bring either a hospital discharge letter or a letter from a pediatrician or licensed physician who saw the baby within the first 30 days after birth. obviously i CAN take the baby to any old pediatrician, but i fall under the "paranoid about telling people i had a UC" category.
