anyone know of a UC-sympathizing licensed physician in L.A.?

i know it's a stretch!!!! open-minded in the l.a. medical industry means you approve of extended breastfeeding, APing, and are perhaps lenient about vaccinations. UC is a bit TOO open. but i just discovered that, unlike up in San Francisco where you just need to bring the baby to the registrar's office with the proof of pregnancy, ID, etc., here in L.A. you HAVE to bring either a hospital discharge letter or a letter from a pediatrician or licensed physician who saw the baby within the first 30 days after birth. obviously i CAN take the baby to any old pediatrician, but i fall under the "paranoid about telling people i had a UC" category.

Did you try the "finding your tribe" section of the forum?

You might be better off looking for a PED/family doc who is UC sympathetic. Might be easier to find.

When they say "licensed physician" could it be a Chiro or natural doctor? Mb worth a try.

You might try Dr. Fleiss. I don't know, however, if he himself is still seeing babies. I am almost certain he'd be sympathetic but I was not crazy about the younger doctor in his practice and can't say that she'd be.

Dont know of your area, but I just took baby to a local ped. I am not going to be doing well baby visits, so I figured it was just one visit,, and I really didnt worry about what they thought.. and btw, they did look at me like i had three heads-lol...

Yeah, getting a birth certificate in L.A. really sucks, even when you use a midwife for your homebirth!
