Woke up this morning throwing up because my sinuses had been draining down the back of my throat.

Now I have a headache, body aches, sore throat, runny/sneezy nose.

OMG Me too and dd
I have been coughing over this HUGE belly each cough feels like another tear in a muscle
I am so uncomfotable, I sleep sitting up I was a total zombie all day and a crappy mother as well
I am really done...if I was like this the first time around I would have never done it again
nothing like a postpartum cold when you are still PG!!!!:

Sneezing and coughing while you are already wondering "Did I pee my self or am I leaking amniotic fluid?" IS NOT FREAKING FUN!

The worst of it right now is a sore throat, which to me always feels like the worst thing in the world. It hurts to eat/drink/and breath. Main functions for LIFE! Really I am okay with just about any other type of bodily pain until it interferes with eating, drinking or breathing . . . then I feel like I'm dying.

oh yeah the cough and pee combo is a gem also
I used elderberry ricola coughdrops when I started with the sore throat it worked along with a lot of homey and chamomile tea
I hope your baby comes before the coughing starts

Ugh, sympathies. Me too. Sinus infection Blech. blech blech. And DS is coughing up a storm and DH looks like he's next. Ooohhhhhhh I don't want to go into labor right now! Feel like I'd hvae zero reserves I can't even eat/drink/make pregnancy tea/walk/yoga/etc.)

Neti is burning my nose so much I can't use it--any ideas?

Ugh I feel you! I woke up yesterday with my kids' colds. Today I feel even worse... horrible cough (and when I take cough medicine-liquid- it aggravates my acid reflux and makes me vomit. NICE) watery eyes, runny nose. Every cough makes every muscle in my abdomen seize up and it HURTS. I am 37 weeks today and praying this little guy does not come until I am back to normal. I would have zero stamina for a drug free home birth at this point.

Oh my goodness I feel so miserable. Of course my kids recovered in 2 days and are back to feeling like themselves. My poor DH keeps asking what can I do? Um, put me out of my misery is what I feel like saying. Being term pregnant with a raging cold is NOT a good combination.

So sorry for all who are feeling under the weather.

On a positive note, though, I think it is a body's way of getting ready for birth. My theory is that we enjoy some great immune system perks while pg. until the very end at which time our immune system 'lets' us get sick so that we have heightened immunity to the current strands of stuff going around...immunity that we pass on to our little ones after they are born.

It makes sense to me, but even if it is never proven, it at least gives me a feeling that my misery is in some way helping the baby. Feel free to share in this belief if it helps at all!

I am so pissed that I have a cold! This is serious BS!

and DH has to work late today and tomorrow.

If I go into labor like this, I will be super uber duper angry. :

DS goes to bed at 7... then I'm going to soak in the tub for a very long time.

well if it makes you feel better I am almost all better
with the occasional residual abdominal ripping cough reflex
I just hope dh does not get sick now...

I hope you feel a little better today? I got sick right before delivering my daughter too. Wonder what it is. The theory about building immunity to whatever is going around sound feasible to me.

I hope I am not next. My dd woke up with a sore throat and some nasal congestion/post-nasal drip. No fever, so that is a relief. Wish I could get her to use the sinus rinse... she's old enough but it totally freaks her out. She might just be having allergies. I hate the swine flu. It makes me on guard. OK no whining. I'm still healthy and you are sick, so I will stop hijacking.

I am feeling a bit better today! DH got me some Guinness and made me a wheatgrass shot last night and sent me to bed early.

I still have a scratchy throat and not totally back up to normal energy levels but I HAVE to get out of the house today. So I'm taking DS to the mall and book store, as he requested.
