Atlas, our 5 year old German Shepherd, has always been a frequent (1x/day) reverse sneezer. Off and on for the last month, it has been getting more frequent (5-20x/day) and he seems to have issues breathing through his nose.
The first time I noticed was about 3 weeks ago when he was snoring when sleeping - and he is not a snorer. He obviously couldn't breathe through his nose and for a few days would get choked up when he tried to breathe through his nose. I did a little googling and figured out he might have some sort of dog cold or virus. If is lasted throughout the weekend I was going to bring him into the vet but it seemed to clear up.
Now it is happening again for the last 2 days. I was up all night just listening to him try to breathe through his nose. I just took him in last month for his checkups and shots and they didn't notice anything going on, although i didn't mention these new symptom as as they hadn't appeared yet.
Should I make another appt? Could it be seasonal allergies? What do you think?
