Agreed, agreed and agreed! I was thinking how perfect of a TV evening it was TMZ, SYTYCD and Glee! All in a row!

I love this show. It has so much potential. The "pregnant" wife made me cringe. I could've done without the football guy and the singing girl date scene. I sense that the writers are trying to make a point like, oh he's so popular and look, he has issues too! But yea, there are just some things that are TMI.

I love Glee!

I was hoping for a really cool performance and didn't get it though. I was definitely cringing during the "Push It" routine.

I really like the Glee Club coach but can't really see why he'd be with his wife. They seem like polar opposites.

Other than that, I love the show and am looking forward to Wednesday!

It's like The Office for me, or at least Michael in The Office. I don't want to watch him, it's so uncomfortable watching him, and yet I can't NOT watch him. Same thing with that routine - they did it *perfectly* to get that awkward feeling, and then the students reaction....AWESOME. Jane Lynch, brilliant. Just love the whole thing.

I was not expecting to love it as much as I did. OMG. I LOVE it. It had me : I thought the Pep Rally was supposed to have that awkward edge. I really enjoyed it.

And I swear, if Fox cancels this I will show up at their studios with a pitchfork and torch.

Oh, it was supposed to be awkward, and I think it was done brilliantly - it easily could have been overdone, but they seem to know exactly where to stop.

Ditto, I am LOVING this show.

I usually find out about great shows when they are in season 2 or 3, so psyched to watch it first run!

I heard the interview too. He said he was glad to have a Catholic upbringing, because it taught him about theatrics. That really made me laugh, because we are a theatrical people. LOL

This totally makes sense to me, as a member of both groups, too.

LOVE Glee! I was sort of worrying that they had so many evil women roles, but then again, most of the people are messed up. I don't get how the creator says he thinks kids can watch it, though (he was saying in EW that it's nice to do this rather than Nip/Tuck). I would never let an 8yo watch it! But *I* enjoy it SO much! This was me in school. Singing On My Own for a school show and popular girls shoving me into lockers for daring to just be me and be happy about it... ah good times. Now I'm kinda scared I got recruited (as a teacher) to be in my school's pep rally next week. What WILL the dance team do?

OK I can finally post here. We finally watched the pilot and the first episode. Late night last night, 2nd epi will have to wait for tonight. We love it. My 14 y.o. 9th grade marching band daughter adores it.

Great, great cast.

I also can't see why Will is married to Terri.

OMG this is my new favorite show. I just got done watching the pilot and episode 1 online, and will have to watch the 2nd episode tomorrow because it's late... I love that cheerleading coach! And I can't wait to see how the wife's "pregnancy" plays out.

It saddens me to say that I didn't really enjoy the latest episode. It's like they are trying too hard to be offensive (as well as cool and camp).

So, right now, it's not on my favorites list but I'll watch it there's nothing better to do.

Yes -- this last episode wasn't as funny as the first few, IMO. I hope that next week is better.

Yeah, that car wash scene was too much.

I understood that scene last week at the competition where they danced to "Push It" and it was a touch on the raunchy side. It's a contemporary song that kids walk around singing while not really, totally getting the meaning - even if they're teenagers and think they get it, they don't really. So, I totally got where they were going with that.

But, that carwash scene was just rude and raunchy and unpleasant to watch.

They need to remember that we're still watching a show about kids (regardless of how old the actors really are) and there's only so far you can take teenage sexuality before it crosses the line.

Maybe I'm becoming desensitized because I usually am not fond of oversexing, but I wasn't offended by last night's show. It was bikini tops and cheerleader skirts with the pleats cut, no worse than you see elsewhere...and the dancing I didn't think was that suggestive. I actually still really enjoyed it. I like how they pull out one person every week to do a "number" based on something that happened to them in the episode, showing their raw emotion about it.

I actually liked the car wash scene and number. It almost feels to me like he's lampooning them (the populars - kind of like Weird Al), not celebrating them.

and Acafellas? Best group name evah. Even DH said so.

I will say if he said this show is in any way appropriate for a kid I strongly disagree - this is a show geared for adults, definitely.

I think it was too much.

Bikini tops, and the knee-highs with short skirts. Very suggestive dance with wide open knees. The camera was carefully cut away a few times so it didn't linger on some shots, which is great.

Dh and I watch with our 14 y.o. highschool daughter and she and I were both squirming.

Dd's marching band played at the first football game last night. Dh and I both commented on how you cannot mistake any of those cheerleaders for adult women.

I do get the point, but I think it went too far. But, whatever, I won't stop watching the show.

Well here the high school girls doing car washes wear less than the girls in the car wash scene, but raunchy cheerleaders aside wasn't the girl singing about breaking out car windows FABULOUS!?

The show is raunchy, and I think it will only get worse. This latest episode was definitely not as funny storyline and dialog wise. I also thought the musical numbers weren't as great.

But.... mohawk dude.... whew!

I do really wish they'd quit it with the short bus jokes. I'm hoping as the show goes on they'll develop some of the characters a little bit more.
