I'm just curious... If money were no problem, what would you have in your stash? I think mine would consist of about 20-30 BG organics and lots of cute fitteds to wear around the house. I think I'd end up with about 100 diapers by the time I was done. Oh, and some yummy wool! :

Combination

I would have a lot of fitted diapers for daytime, pockets for nighttime, and prefolds for stuffing and doubling. I'd also have all hemp doublers. I've got a lot of microfibre and I don't love them.

Mainly, it's a matter of numbers. The above is basically what my stash looks like right now, except that I have the a bunch of diapers mixed in that I tried and could live without. If money were no object, I'd have more covers, and more diapers to go longer between washes. Though I have to admit, we're in pretty good shape right overall. I've been collecting and using diapers for five years.

Sometimes I even wonder why I bother with the pocket diapers at night, since I could just put the stuffing into a Bummis cover directly... but you said money was no object, and the pocket probably does help for older kids who are sleeping longer and wetting more when we're putting in a lot of stuffing.

I would have 3 dozen of each kind of diaper I like and 6 of each kind of cover, so I could use whatever I was in the mood for exclusively whenever I wanted and not have to switch around. I would end up with a LOT of diapers and covers like that!

But, if I had to pick just one, I would probably still pick prefolds--they're easy to launder, and that means a lot to me when all is said and done. I might get pockets to stuff them with for baby-sitters.

Prefitteds and wool mainly. Pockets for nights-FBs or Haute Pockets with hemp doublers.

I voted fitteds because I'd like to have some more to add to my stash. I wouldn't get rid of my prefolds though. I'd add more wool to my stash too!

i love prefolds, but dd is squirmy now so id pick fitteds to go under duo wraps.

Id have *everything* I could get my hands on! In every colour and size....we'd probably need a room dedicated only to diaper storage and changing in the house....but you did say money was no object I love all types and every brand- except a rare few. All work in one way or another at one time or another.

Easy! Fitteds and wool! No "regular" clothes, just fun tops paired with gorgeous fitteds and sturdy wool.

My husband "only likes" AI2s. He will change her if he has a AIO as well. Anything else is a recipe for disaster (he doesn't understand that fitteds and prefolds need covers over top)

Organic one size fitteds w/inserts and prefolds.... and LOTS of wool. Especially the Monster Butt for winter

Mine doesn't understand about covers either! He doesn't put them over fitteds, and he does put them over our BGs. He even brought BSRBs to daycare without pins or snappis. But he tries

I'd love to have more pockets, fitteds and an assortment of wool!

Wool, wool, wool!!!
And then some Thirsties AIO's - theses are just so cute and they work really well... just so expensive...

I love BG's, too, but I have several and am finding that after 18 months or so of use they are starting to fall apart. I was hoping to use them with DD, too, so I will have to spend a day making some repairs.

I love variety, so if I had unlimited cash... we'd have a bit of everything. (Honestly, we've got a lot of variety as is... I shudder to think what would happen if I actually had money!)

If money wasn't an issue I would get 12 of some kind of pocket or AIO that is comfy and has natural fibers, a whole stash of wool longies, skirties and shorties and more clover fitteds for my dd and the new baby due soon I : my clover fitteds and would love wool to go with them! I wish I had money!

I would have lots of AMP Duos OS pockets. (I love them even more now that I figured out that I can also use them as a cover over a trifolded pf- I just have to size down the pf).

Also a day's worth of fitteds and fleece longies and soakers.
For fitteds, I'd have a combo of Drool Bucket Baby multi-size fitteds and the cheap thin fitteds I got for free. I love to have some fitteds to let his bum air out.

I'd keep the Softbums I already have, because they've been really trustworthy. I'd also keep the Swaddlebees side snap pockets- even though they leak sometimes, I still like them
But I wouldn't buy any more of either of those.

If I had a bunch of money for diapers, I would get a bunch of Grobaby - and probably some GMD prefolds. I got a free sample Grobaby and thought it was okay but passed it along to a friend. Then I moved to a hot climate and my fleece lined pockets no longer seemed the way to go. So I sold some off and got some prefolds which I do like but there is the hubby problem: he deigned to use the pockets on rare occasions, but I can't imagine even trying to show him how to use Snappis!

I really love our flats. They wash and dry so easily. I think all the row about special washing techniques and such comes from multi-layer diaper washers. I personally think multi-layer diapers are gross. They not only catch poop, they also trap it in their layers to grow funky when you're not looking.
We have had a few terry fitteds and some prefolds as well as pockets (stuffed with flats) over our 2.5 year diapering career, and they were so gross and hard to get clean and dry. I can't imagine why people keep using them.
