Tell me about it! I get more and more lust-ridden every time I see him! Especially without his shirt

Okay, DH loves the show and I make fun of him for watching it, but I am growing more and more fond of it.

I don't usually like the bad boy either, but Damon is awesome! I'm starting to think that maybe he and Elena end up together? Never read the books, so I don't know.

Has anyone here read the books? Is the show close to the same storyline or are the books totally different? I'm curious.

Is it bad that I actually WANT Damon and Elena to end up together?! Screw you, Stefan!

SPOILER! SEMI-DETAILED BOOK DESCRIPTION!!!!

Books are 100% different. Elena's parents died when she was younger, and she has a little sister. Her aunt is normal parent age, and engaged. Stefan isn't as "good" in that he does eat blood sometimes, and Damon isn't quite so "bad". Damon and Stefan are from the 1500's, and they lived in Italy. Katherine was from Germany, and kills herself after the brothers find out she loves both of them. The characters are all pretty different, even the ones who appear in both the books and the show (Alaric, Tyler, Vicky, Caroline, Bonnie, etc) are pretty different. Elena is in love with Stefan, but their relationship is very different, as opposed to the "typical teenage love" of the show. In short...it's RADICALLY different. I personally think the books are good, but they're just so different. The only thing they have in common is "brothers torn apart by a girl fight for over a century before finding and falling in love with her look-alike." Everything else is different.

I'm totally into Damon now too. The actor seems like he has fun playing him. LOVE how he attacked Isobel last ep. My DH watches it with me, and we're both hooked.

I guess I don't get why people are so hard to kill. Vamp or human. Isobel could easily be staked. She's WAYYYYYYY younger than Damon. And if you ripped Jonathan's head off, could he survive that? Hmmmmm.....

Ok- I'm kind of disappointed in Bonnie. I get that she's mad at Damon and Stefan, but why try to harm them? If you don't like them, decline to do the spell. I used to love Bonnie, but so don't trust her now.

I don't like Bonnie anymore either. After last night, she did kind of redeem herself, but I think she'll do something again.

Loved last night's episode and can't wait to see what happens next!

***SPOILERS FROM FINALE***

I am so unbelievably devastated that Anna is dead. Poor, poor Jeremy. He has had no luck, and I would want to turn off my emotions too. Damon stole my heart, and I was so excited when I thought it was Elena he was kissing!! I was so impressed when she chopped off Jon's fingers. In fact, the thought was "I can't believe Elena is MAKING OUT WITH DAMON AND CHOPPING OFF JON'S FINGERS! Chick has SERIOUS balls!" Poor Damon, he is going to flip out when he finds out it was Katherine. I re-watched the scene at the end though, and it's more apparent that it isn't Elena when you focus...her voice is different.

I think he knows. Or at least I think he has an idea that he'd kissed her before or something. Just by the look on his face.

And I'm so happy John is gone. I just never got into his whole storyline although I'm sure that'll have a big effect on Elena.

Oh my. I didn't even realize it wasn't Elena when they were kissing. I knew it was a switch when she was talking with Jon but not when she kissed Damon.
Wish I hadn't deleted it!

HOW ON EARTH DID I MISS THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!

I just spent the whole weekend glued to my computer watching the entire season.

....and now I can't wait till September.

The books have been good, but "meh". The show on the other hand is awesome!
How, oh HOW do I get sucked into these things?!?!?!?!

Is it terrible that I have a crush on TWO vampires now!?!?!?!

I adore Stefan, but wish he had Damon's humore. Lol.

*********spoiler*************

I seriously think Damon already suspects it was Katherine just by the way he was rubbing his lips....surely he remembers how she kissed. He's sooooooo much more perceptive than everyone else on that show.
I about flipped when I realized.

I might just go back and watch them all again.
