HELP breastfeeding toddler stopped nursing

My daughter is 26 months and abruptly stopped nursing!

She nursed last at 1 am and then has only had the nipple in her mouth for comfort no sucking. She got really upset at naptime with a holy terror tantrum so we gave up napping. She has tried several times and keeps saying 'I Can't' or 'It's Broken'.

Can this happen? Does this happen?

I had no plans of weaning anytime soon, I am really upset!

Any thoughts? Help? Ideas? I am having no luck finding info. I will call my LLL leader in the morning.

I am very worried about tonight since she usually is up 5-7 at night! Now how do I get her to stay in bed past 4 am?

Could you be pregnant? Or could AF be affecting supply?

Yes I wondered about supply too. Are you hydrated? For me drinking fennel tea or anise seed tea makes my milk flow. That and eating barley.

Is she teething? Were you in a quiet room without distractions? Was she otherwise hungry?

Maybe there is a sore in her mouth.

ita - maybe she is getting her 2 year molars... DS went through a 3day strike at 22 months - I dont know what the cause was - I even took him to a doctor and then dentist, but he didn't see strep or cavities or anything. But it was clear that nursing was hurting him. when he felt better, he picked up where he left off!
