Have you had or will you get an ultrasound? - Page 2

I didn't do one for my UC nor the homebirth I had before that. For me, I just don't see the need.

for me at least one u/s near the end is a must for UC . even if you are not worried about issues with the baby it's a good idea to know where the placenta is (yes it can change but if you do it near the end is probably wont) and just do a quick check that there isn't any obvious reason UC might be a bad idea - non - genetic birth defects , bad placenta placement, cord issues, etc etc

of course u's aren't perfect but for me i feel ONE does more good then harm at least you can work will all the information.

The good news is he's really quick (2-3 min tops) but I'm also kind of concerned because I don't remember seeing him checking the heart ect. like with the anatomy scans I've had with my other two babes. I'm definately not going to get one a week, so I'll probably space my appointments out towards the end. The time I fussed about the multiple ultrasounds, he just checked heart tones, but with the ultrasound machine
At least I don't have to take my clothes off!
I had the same with my twins. Every three weeks or less for 9 months. I never thought i'd be so sick of ultrasounds in my life. If it makes you feel better, the ultrasound machine uses weaker doppler waves then the hand held units so at least you're getting less exposure then most moms get.
