Looking for delayed/selective vax friendly pedi in Western MD

Hello,
I am 7 months pregnant and looking for a pedi who is delayed/selective vaccine friendly in Western MD preferably in Frederick or Hagerstown area....

I see Dr Budi ( Weiss Becker & Shuster) and I delay. He hasnt given me to much fuss We will be doing some maybe at 1. I do know they have asked non vaxing people to leave mainly if you see Dr Weiss which I will NOT do I just dont like him at all. My SIL is at the same practice and she delayed by doing 1 or 2 vax at a time. She also saw Dr Budi. Dr Kahn in hagerstown doenst require you to vax at all several of my homeschooling friends use him.

We see Weiss, Becker, Schuster also....We love Dr. Schuster, he is VERY breastfeeding friendly...we have had multiple bad experiences with Dr. Budi and try to avoid him...I won't go in to details on the main forum here...our issues were not about vaxing.

I stumbled upon this board, but so grateful I did! I have been looking for a doctor who is ok with not vaxing in either Hagerstown, MD or Winchester, VA. I saw some of the responses for hagerstown. Does anyone know of any in Winchester??

Whole Child Pediatrics in Ashburn, VA is also supportive of delaying or opting out of vaxes.

I don't bother with a pediatrician for our family's care. I think they are too deeply indoctrinated in the vaccine stuff in general and I don't wish to haggle about it at every turn...so we see a family practitioner. I figure if I need a pediatriac specialist for anything, I can seek that speciality when the need arises.

I called Selma Medical in Winchester and asked if their office would b e comfortable treating children who were not vaccinated and the receptionist said "That's a personal decision." and I thought "That's the RIGHT answer!"

Selma is a pretty big practice with a group of internists, cardiologists, infectious disease specialists and family medicine. I made an appointment and liked the guy we saw. They have hospital priviledges, after hours phone (nurse I believe, not sure), doctors on call and a walk in clinic option.

That is actually too funny because I've been going to Selma Medical for YEARS for myself. Thanks so much for the info. I will definitely be calling and talking to them. :-)

I've heard good things about him and I think I'm going to try to switch. Hagerstown is almost 30 miles for me though.

I've used Ped Center of Frederick the last 2 years and really was never given much grief about delaying until today. Anyway we will not be going back. I had previously seen Dr. Ebert whose name I'd gotten from another homeschool mom whose son was not vaxed and Dr. Ebert was sort of okay with delaying. She did forcefully retract my 5 yo son's penis at his well visit this summer which really made me mad. He complained of his penis hurting for 2 days after the visit. I took my sick almost 3 yo in to see Dr. Lee this morning and she was horrible. Tried to talk me into a full round of vaxes on my sick child and said they no longer see patients that don't do all the vaccines. She even said my dd was probably sick because she wasn't up to date on her vaxes.

I have been following this post because I live near Frederick, and have had numerous people tell me to go to the Pediatric Center, which kind of worries me - DD was at another big practice in Catonsville, and I didn't like it. The only way I got out of vaxing is not taking her to the doctor for well visits and telling them I would come back later if I had to take DD in for a sick visit. Anyway, you answered my question - I know they aren't the right fit for me.

Ped Center is nice in that they have several doctors, locations, Saturday hours, nurses line. The 2 doctors I'd heard are okay with delayed vax (not sure on no vax) are Feinberg and Ebert. I have never met Feinberg so I can't comment about him. The problem is when I call about a sick kid they rarely give me many options to pick from. Well checks I schedule in advance I can pick but for sick visits there are fewer options. This morning it was Lee or nobody so I took Lee. I didn't think I'd have so much trouble during a sick visit. I have skipped well checks for the most part for my babies because of the pressure to vaccinate. I have a 1.5 yo son that has never seen a doctor and I worry it may be seen as neglect. I have gotten 4-5 letters now from my insurance company with an enclosed vax schedule along with a letter stating they know he isn't up to date on vaxes and how important it is. I'm sure it's because they haven't gotten a single claim for him since his birth. I've gotten no such letters for my 2.5 year old but she has had a few doctors visits. She has had 1 DTP shot (3 weeks before she got Pertussis - I told this to the doctor today and she said it was because dd hadn't completed the series yet but she had no answer for why my full vaxed 10 yo also got Pertussis)

Are there any new recommendatiOns? We need to stay in Maryland near hagerstown. Family doc is fine even better really.
If anyone needs one near Oakland or accident md dr. B at wellspring family medicine is great.
