Mucous plug quesstion for Moms of 2+

Just curious if you had any pattern when you lost it and how soon labor started etc. if you have had 2 or more births did your body follow some sort of trend?

I lost mine mine with ds about 18 hours before I went into labor.

With #1 I noticed the actual plug and went into labor within 2 days. With number 2 and 3 I never noticed the plug and didn't have bloody show until I went into labor.

I am on #4 and have had bloody show and mucous for an entire week now...

Sorry no answer, but I am wondering too! I was the same as you...with #1 I went into labor somewhere around 12 hours after losing my plug, so if I do lose it this time I am wondering if it will be sign that labor is near.

With number one, I lost my mucous plug and started bleeding the day before I went into labor (actually had my DD a day after that).

With this one (pregnancy #2), I lost my mucous plug and started bleeding two weeks ago now, and still nothing

With # 1 I lost my plug at the hospital in triage right when they admitted me. I had been walking the halls until I reached 4 cm (I was very uneducated/uninformed at that time) and went to the potty and there it was. With # 2 I didn't notice a mucus plug, just my water broke and slowly trickled for quite some time while contrax started before going to the hospital.

With #1, it came out about 36 hours before she did. It was really the first thing that happened. Labor progressed slowly over that time, didn't get intense until maybe 7 hours before she was born?

With #2 I'd been sure it was labor for about 12 hours already before it came out. He was born about 4 hours later.

Lost it about 8 hrs before labor started with DS1. Water breaking signaled active 4hr labor.

Did not lose it until in active 6hr labor with DS2. AROM at 10cm.

Lost it about 24hrs before active 2hr labor with DD3. AROM at 10cm.

Didn't lose it until in active labor with DS4. Water breaking signaled active 4hr labor.

Looking back, I think I lost it with #1 a day or 2 before labor (not positive though, it was a while ago and I knew a whole lot of nothing about childbirth then)
With #2 and #4 I lost it in early labor (so early I wasn't yet convinced I was in labor) but went on to have the baby 3-6 hours later.
Don't recall loosing it at all with #3, go figure!
