The way the medical community is creeping into the lives of parents in matters which have little to do with physiological/anatomical/biological aspects really freak me out.

Where my child sleeps is none of the doctor's business. Neither is whether I have smoke detectors, co2 detectors or firemarms. All of these are things I was asked on a new patient info sheet recently.

He may be starting the seperation process that would explain the little pain he had the last few days. Age 3 seems to be a time when it happens quiet a bit. Here is a thread on seperation issues http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=764732

I have a hands off rule for Dr's now it is just easier that way since they cannot seem to just look without trying to retract. It is like they expect to find gold in there or something So before any exam in that area now I tell them not to touch the foreskin at all and if they want to see the underside of the penis let me know and I will raise it up.

It just isnt worth the damage they can do.
