Runny Carmel colored poop?

My DD who is 1 month old has very runny poop it's still somewhat seedy and is darker in yellow like a carmel or dijon mustard color like maybe there is a tinge of green, is this normal? I heard from someone she might have a food allergy, any advice?

She is also exclusively breastfed on demand and has never had formula. She is sleeping normally and doesn't seem to be overly fussy. Oh and when she poops it really squirts or seems very airy. And she has been having a frequent diaper rash. Any ideas?

Green and frothy can indicate a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance, but that is usually accompianed by fussiness.

The darker color can be a variation of normal I think. Here's an article on poop color by Dr. Jay Gordon.

If everything else is fine I'd say not to worry.

On the diaper rash, are you using cloth or disposables? If it's disposables try a different brand. My dd reacted badly to one type. Either way try changing more often and letting your LO have some nakey butt time. I'd lay me dd on a thick blanket in the floor in case of pee or poo.

And congrats on your new LO :

That sounds normal to me. Allergy poop is green and mucousy, it can range to even neon green, and often doesn't have curds in it.
