Hello
My daughter is 6 months old and when she was 3 months old I made the biggest mistake ever and I have regretted it ever since. I stopped breastfeeding for no real reason. I guess it was a combination of relationship problems and pressure from family. I have thought about it every day since. It was going really well, she was a natural and put on weight perfectly. Then I started to introduce one bottle a day to give me a break, and that turned to two and so on. She started to reject the breast and cried every time I tried to feed her. I tried to nurse when she wasnt that hungry to try and turn it around but she would latch on for a couple of mins and then start to cry. Obviously now my milk has dried up but I have read that its possible to relactate if you get your baby to nurse frequently. DD isnt remotely interested in doing this, she has completely forgotten how. Do you think it would do more harm than good to keep trying? How do I get her to remember? Is it even possible now?
Thanks for reading.
