New CD - Extra Rinse question?

Thread Starter
I just got some new BG diapers and am going to try them for the first time. I'm prewashing and the instructions say to use an extra rinse at the end. My washer is old and doesn't have an extra rinse option. Should I just do a wash cycle without detergent?

Our old washer didn't have the second rinse I'd jsut more the dial to the finial rinse cycle and let it go from there.

ditto PP's, but I feel like hot rinses are much more effective than cold, so I usually make put it on the hot cycle again and either let it run the entire wash cycle, or if I catch it, I'll just let it fill with hot water, then advance it to the rinse cycle.

As a general rule hot water helps activate soap better than cold but cold helps rinse it away better then hot.

That's what I do. I just do a wash with detergent and a wash without. Usually cold then hot for me.
