I left my chicken stock on the counter overnight..should I throw it away? - Page 2

Another one for toss it. I am always astounded in these threads by the food people keep after being left out. Would you leave a cooked chicken out all night? What is the difference in that and chicken stock? I would rather be wasteful than risk poisoning anyone.

I would throw it out, too. It would be sad, but that's when I shrug my shoulders and toss it out.

did you end up tossing it? I would have, even though I know it sucks especially if you have been cooking the stock for a long time.

And for heaven's sake--just think about it. Who wants to eat bacteria filled soup? You guys can have my portion! Go ahead, I am full...
DH's culture leaves soup/stew (with meat) on the stove, and heats it only once a day. It is not kept at a simmer at other times; it is turned off.

ETA - their culture is tropical, so it's not exactly cool in the kitchen.

OP - I'd boil for a few minutes before using.

OP, just curious if you ate it or tossed it?
