Nevermind, figured it out. :)

My baby is 5 months old and everything has been going beautifully. However two days ago he was nursing to sleep and was grabbing at my breast as he was falling asleep. He scratched my breast in several places. That's not really a big deal. Yesterday evening, when DS1 latched on it was extremely painful. My nipple hurt and there was deep pain inside my breast. At first I thought it may be a plugged duct so I left him nurse as long as possible which wasn't long.

This pain has continued and hurts all the time, not just when the boys are nursing. I feel that deep pain even when just walking around. The pain in my nipple isn't there unless nursing.

I've had a lot of plugged ducts in the past, but I'm wondering if this is something different. The pain is more on one side than the other, but I don't feel any lumps and I've keep my breasts pretty empty. Usually my plugged ducts some after getting engorged or doing something stupid like sleeping on my stomach.

I've never had thrush, and have not been on any antibiotics, but am guessing this is possible? I'm on a strict elimination diet for DS2's allergies so my diet isn't what it normally is.

Nevermind! I'm pretty sure it's a plugged duct. I found the plug, it just wasn't where I expected it. Will keep nursing and massaging.
