Holy inappropriate questions Batman.

So... what questions have you been asked that just seem to be over the top/annoying/too personal?

the most recent:
Boss's wife: Have you lost your mucus plug yet? : (also been asked when I think the baby will be here - general response is whenever he/she decides and that I've gone late both other times)

Rode to a chamber of commerce event with the boss yesterday and he was joking about getting in/causing an accident to put me into labor and asked me if I thought it would work.

I also am amazed by the number of people that think the dilation/effacement/station are any of their business. Not getting too many of those from co-workers as I've made it clear that we don't do VEs.

We went out to dinner last night and our server asked "Are you expecting?"

UH YEAH I'M FREAKING DUE ON TUESDAY! HELLO!!

I guess I don't look that big? I feel huge!

one of my patients was shopping at my neighbor's garage sale across the street - she recognized me sitting on my porch and came over... she hadn't realized that I'm due any day now... I saw her last on Monday.

yeah, I had two people ask me AT CHURCH if I was dialated already. Is that really appropriate post-church chit chat? Like the status of my cervix is really anyone's business?

I haven't had anyone comment on my pregnancy in several weeks. It's odd considering so many people did for a while there. People I already know ask how I'm doing but nothing embarrassing, and no strangers ask about me even being pregnant in the first place.

Well - the flip side of this one being when you're still carrying around an extra 20 pounds of baby weight and you've left the LO home with daddy and someone comes up to you, pats your tummy and asks when the little one is due.

Most people around here seem to be in the camp of never asking a woman if she's pregnant unless you see a head emerging.

Yeah - I have people I know asking, but I think I've had 1 stranger comment in the entire 9 months. Kinda weird to me, considering how many times I hear stories about comments from strangers.

Of course I expect the comments will pick up when I'm carrying around a newborn, but that's to be expected.

I have had someone who I have never met tell me that if I wanted to induce labor to "take a stick and poke it around up there". WTH? I later found out his wife is a NURSE! Bet you a dollar to a donut, either she isn't any good, would kill him if she found out that he had said this to anyone at all much less a pregnant woman or he's just so plainly stupid that he is lucky to have anyone at all to be married to. Maybe, he hasn't been taught yet?

AAAAMEN! AMEN! AMEN, AMEN, AMEN! My MIL thinks that it is her duty to share with the entire family the status of my cervix-enough so that when she finds out from dd or hubbie, she will call SIL to tell her! AAAAGGGhhhh! I am now telling them that the doctor told me that cervix is behind baby's head still. Then I tell them that because of the pain I am in that she must be BITING it! LOL! Ok, gross but I am getting tired of stupidity! And pregnancy...and belly making squishy, water sounds if I attempt to bend at all in the middle, etc. Need I go on?

In the same day I got:

"So, you didn't have any problems getting pregnant even though you're vegan? That's cool."

AND

"So how is it being pregnant since you're older?" (I'm 33!)

WTF.

Mucus Plug and Bloody show are often frequently in conversation I have with people. I was never asked this once with my son, but now I get asked all the time.
