How long does this typically last? And how do you get past it?

We were doing so well! My 6mo daughter is very obviously trying to crawl, and EC has just gone out the window. She doesn't tell me when she needs to go or has gone, and she has turned into a master stealth pooper. We had some great stretches where I wasn't changing any poopy diapers.

I realize this is developmentally related, but it's driving me batty! How long did your DC take to get back on track once crawling began, and did you do anything particular to help them get past it?

She is also resisting the sink like crazy. She gets stiff as a board and won't relax until I play with her for a bit in the mirror and then try again, and then she whines at me when I put her diaper back on. Poor thing just doesn't know [I]what[I] she wants.

Things got better from that pretty much instantly after crawling started. Shortly after she started working on walking. :

Most of our pre-walking blips like that only lasted a couple of days, sometimes only one day. I didn't do anything different, just changed her diapers as soon as they were wet or poopy and talked to her about going on the potty.

argh, kinda sounds like my 4 1/2 mo, she pooped in the ergo (ew!), peed on dad's lap while smiling right at him, whines about the potty... I think she might be teething (a little fussier/clingier than I am used to with her) or just dealing w/ a bunch of developmental milestones (rolling and scootching herself all around, grabbing, laughing, etc)

we're def doing diapers when we're not at home and I'm using these extra thick trainers I made at home more- and STILL getting some pee on the carpet, sigh.

And this is after 2 months of no poop misses and doing GREAT with pees. Oh well. I hope its just temporary.
