Hi mamas!
So ECing is going really well and we love it. I'm so glad we decided to do this.
I have a question, though, I noticed this week that DD (11 months old) now usually grabs her crotch when she's sitting on the potty. She has actually peed on her hands a few times.
Any other EC babies do this? I'm just wondering if she is just exploring her body (she grabs her crotch occasionally when she is nakey butt, too), or if it could be a symptom of a health issue? I'm watching her for symptoms of UTI, etc, but she really seems fine.
One thing, though, is that she sometimes makes a fuss about peeing, but that's been something I thought of as a cue before. Also, she might be annoyed about being placed on the potty when she'd rather be crawling around and playing. So, I don't have a strong feeling that she is in discomfort while peeing, especially since she doesn't do it every time.
I would feel less concerned if some other parents have noticed their kids doing the same. If she has a UTI or something like that, though, I want to address it ASAP, of course.
Your thoughts?
TIA
