Ditto! My DH likes my milk and would probably drink it for health...however, his immune system is crazy strong so it's never been an issue..

Getting milk sneezed into my milk would surely make me not like it. LOL, yuck. Sorry for you. Very funny though.

Oh.

Gotta agree with Curious&Eager. Not the best way to get...well...ANYTHING in your mouth
I find it kind of amusing how many men would balk at breastmilk but not more umm..intimate bodily fluids, iykwim.

I jokingly suggested we try making some breastmilk cheese once and DH got all excited. He thinks my milk is about the coolest thing ever. That said, I think if he was sick he may well turn it down... he turns down practically every helpful herb and anything else when he's sick... although if it was straight from the tap he might consider it. Don't know if I'd let him do that, though, since it might re-infect the baby...

That would have been DH's reaction 2 years ago. The attitude slowly shifted with time.

My dh would take it straight from the breast, but not from a cup. I won't taste it at all, no particular reason.

I think guys thatwon't taste b/milk are HILARIOUS...

Dh HAS tried mine on more then one occasion, but won't drink it for a few reasons
1-ummm he's an adult and no other species drinks milk out of adolescence(he won't drink cow or sheep or goats milk either..none of us do)
2-my milk is for MY baby
3-he's worried he'll become a super being

Those are the three reasons he JUST gave me of why he doesn't drink breast milk

We all got a cold right as dd was born and he did drink some pumped breastmilk that ds left and he even squirted some up his nose and in his ears...we all did and it SAVED us!

I did the exact same thing! dh looked at me like I was crazy! I'm not sure if your antibodies could actually do anything for him. I think that there is a window when antibodies get into an infants bloodstream. Something about the gut of an infant.

I'm pretty sure my DH would have the same reaction.

That might actually convince my DH to drink it.

Hmm, My DH says it tastes like melon, having himself a personal affection for the source of it and all. But he also jokes constantly that I could feed the whole family. I actually think mine would take it, of course I also think he takes the crunchy thing a little too far sometimes! Of course, DH's mom was a lactivist in her own day, so maybe it just doesn't freak him out as much

It would appear I need to learn to keep my big mouth shut . Either that, or I have children with impeccable aim and timing :

As an aside, I have about 25 oz of 2 year old frozen BM in my freezer. I can't bring myself to throw it out. I wonder if it would make good icecream

I guess I'm the weird one. I have tasted my own milk, offered it to my husband and have had him ask for it.
Ok, so I just asked DH if he'd drink it if he were sick and he was like "um, do you even need to ASK that" (note my previous post)... so I said "so yes?" and he said "YES! duh." So then I told him that most of the people on this thread said their husbands wouldn't and his response? "weirdos"
