tandem nursing: cold transmission?

DD is 3 and has a light cold/cough. she is tandeming w/ her newborn brother, 4 days old. should i worry/take precautions (what?) to prevent transmission of bug to him? TIA.

I wouldn't do anything special. The newborn has probably already been exposed just by living in the same house and being cared for by the same parents; you'll be making antibodies to that particular virus by now and can pass them on to the baby.
