Boil microfleece?

Does anyone know if it's ok to boil microfleece diapers? I'm trying to strip some fitteds (hemp w/ microfleece lining). I'm doing the Dawn thing right now, but boiling is my next thought if Dawn doesn't do it. I know the hemp will be ok, but will the Aplix and the microfleece melt or get damaged if I boild them?

Also, if you've boiled diapers before - how long should I do it for?

I've boiled my microfleece and microfiber diapers, and nothing melts-not the aplix, not the snaps. I do it for about 5 minutes or so. the one thing I did discover was that boiling might make the dye in the PUL run, but you don't have to worry about that. I read somewhere that it's OK to boil PUL because it was designed for the medical industry where it stands up to autoclaving and whatnot. Also boiling is probably not the best for elastic, so I have only done it twice in 7 months.

OK, that's good to know. I've got one of the diapers-in-question on the little guy now. If we have repelling-caused leaks tonight, we'll boil tomorrow!

If you have a dishwasher you can also run them through a regular cycle with no detergent or rinsing agent. Seriously works like a charm.

Just make sure the microfleece is facing the jets.

You gotta be careful when doing this...the diapers can go flying all over the dishwasher and end up burning on the heating element.

I totally forgot to mention--I velcro or try to snap--depending on the diaper--around the arms around the bars in the basket to keep this from happening!
