EASY Mittens

I'm in desperate search of an easy mitten pattern.

Right now, I'm learning to knit in the round and it's - well, not going so well.

I'd like to make mittens for my two girls, and as Christmas gifts since they're relatively quick (and I have untold yards of mismatch wool).

What's your favorite EASY (lol) mitten pattern? I'm on Ravelry, so any search tips there would be helpful too.

ETA - doesn't matter what kind of wool (in terms of bulky, etc) either... I can work with anything

This is a Ravelry download pattern for mittens knit flat. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr...tens-knit-flat. The pattern was written by someone teaching high school students how to knit and has quite detailed instructions. It's a generic pattern with tips on how to modify for the size, yarn and stitch pattern you're using.

This is a vintage basic mitten pattern. http://www.freevintageknitting.com/m...s-pattern.html. It's knit in the round but otherwise very simple.

I have knit Bev's mittens in kids and ladies sizes. They are SUPER easy and are knit on straight needles. I HATE to seam, but using a mattress seam, they are super easy and look AWESOME.

I just started learning to knit in August, and finished my first ever mitten yesterday

I used this pattern on Ravelry: Extra-Toasty Toddler Mittens

I really had no problems, and I love that it uses two strands of wool - it came out so thick and cozy! I knit it in the round using the Magic Loop Method - I tried dpns once - blech!
