postpartum AF's

after you had your first pp af were your cycles always regular?

i had my first pp af in may, and then in july i was early, then average (28 days) in august and now i am i think a week late. my son has been nursing a LOT at night but i quit pumping last week (i woh ft and used to pump 3-5oz a day). so we go 10-12 hours without nursing some days. could i have ovulated late this month or not at all because of his increased night nursing?

anyone have af come and then leave again for a while and come back later?

basically, just tell me that i might not be pregnant!

It is normal for cycles to take awhile to regulate and increased nursing can throw things off. take a test if you want but as long as you are using protection I wouldn't worry too much.

I wouldn't worry too much. I got my first PP period when Lila was 11 months old. She just turned 2 a couple weeks ago (still nurses) and while I haven't skipped any periods since I began to menstruate, my cycles HAVE been a little wonky. Pre-pregnancy and pre-BF my cycles were on average about 35 days long. Since my first PPAF they range anywhere from 27-42 days. Hope that helps a little

My ppaf after my youngest came back 2 mos ago at 5mos pp. Haven't had any others since. Always a possibility of being pg but right now I figure I have a higher chance of not being pg. DS also increased his nursing in that time.
