Best way to freeze baby food

Just wondering what the best way is to freeze home made baby food? I pureed a whole bunch of plums, but don't know how I should freeze them. Ideally I would like them to be in small enough portions....are glass baby food jars safe to freeze? I know they have special ice cube tray type things with lids...suggestions?

I used a regular ice cube tray to freeze the cooled purees. Once frozen I transferred the cubes to glass storage containers.

When my son was eating purees DH and I were living with his parents and his mother was very nervous about glass in the freezer (she would have prefered I not make baby food at all...). So I compromised and used the stash of breast milk freezer bags I had recieved for my baby shower. I would put 2 or 3 feedings worth of puree in each bag and thaw them over night in the refrigerator, then with a clean spoon take out a serving put it in a bowl and warmed that bowl in a bigger bowl of warm water.

Wow, thats sounds really complicated... in practice I didn't find it bothersome however. HTH

I used regular plastic ice cube trays. Then when they were frozen, I popped the cubes out into freezer bags.
