Separate MMR Vaccine?

I just heard that Merck is making the MMR separately again - should be available in 2011. Does anyone have more details? Do they know WHEN in 2011? DS was born 6-5-09 and I definitely want to split the MMR shot, starting around 15 months. If it's not available split I guess I'll wait at least until after age 2...

FWIW my DS's dr. will not even recommend starting the MMR until age 2..... (family practice) And they are fine with me waiting longer since I want to do the separate components when they become available....

So good to hear they are making it seperate again. It is wonderful that parents will now at least have a choice in which vaccine or vaccines to get.

FWIW, DS is 3 1/2 and has not had the MMR. We plan on waiting for mumps until just before puberty if he has not already had mumps by then. The rest are still up in the air.
